Yes, your skin communicates. It communicates within to itself and also to the brain. Why would the skin be designed this way? Because of survival. The body must survive – and the skin is the protector against the invader.
Without a highly sophisticated communication system, we would die. Your brain needs to know if a tiny mosquito is on you – heavens, it might carry malaria. It also needs to know if you put your hand on a hot stove.
Chemical and electric messages through the nerve endings are sent to your brain so that you can respond to either the most delicate of touches or a sensation of pain.
In a square centimeter there are 200 pain sensors and a 156 inches of nerve fibers, and yet we treat our skin so roughly with our hands and cosmetics you would think it was a leather purse. Somewhere in history we lost the awareness of a delicate touch. A touch that calms and sends soothing signals to the brain. By not messaging pain, you are allowing the functions of your skin to operate at their optimum – like a finely tuned swiss watch.
My advice to everyone is be gentle – like a feather. Teach your children to be gentle with their faces. This is a huge step in the prevention of clogged pores and acne.
